For all you last minute shoppers like me here are my picks for all ages
For parents of young children (Mine are 5 & 7)
Lego Batman 2 (E for Everyone)
I just bought the 360 version for my son.
One of the many successful Lego games this one was released back in June. Controlls are very easy tons of character unlockables. This is a bigger than that 1st one in they also give you additional heros such as Superman, Wonderwoman, Aquaman, Hawkman and more. If you are a fan of Batman and DC Heros this game is for you. Even as a gamer in his mid 30's I like this game. It'a always fun to watch the guys go to pieces.
Systems available: 360, PS3, WII, DS, Vita
Prices: $20- $40
For Pre-teens
Forza Horzion (T for Teen Language, Suggestive Themes, Drug Reference)
Everyone loves racing games, this one is great as you race in a festival atmosphere and the graphics are stunning as it is set in Colorado. You race against tons of opponents in differents types of cars and races. Including racing a P-51 Mustang. I had a difficult time with the car drifting on me but I don't play too many racing games. anyone who is a fan will have no problem getting behind the wheel.
Systems available: 360
Prices: $40 -$50
Teen to Adults
Call of Duty: Black OPS II (M for Mature)
I am a big fan of this game but not for the regular missions but for the Zombies. Within 24 hours of going on sale, the game grossed over $500 million. This is the game for any game who like First Person shooters. While the single player story line is lacking there is much to keep the player active with online play.
Systems available: 360, PS3, WII U, PC
Prices: $50
Borderlands 2 (M for Mature)
What can I say about this game I have played it throught twice already and and at it again with a different character. This game just won game of the year from Raptr. this game is NOT one you will beat in an hour the main story plus the ton of side missions will keep anyone busy. The commentary is some of the best anywhere and so is the weapons arsenel. All 3 members of the gaming staff have and LOVE this game.
Systems available: 360, PS3, PC
Prices: $35 - $50
